Summer is Over – Music Poster Design
School Project | Adobe Illustrator Course, Spring 2012
This poster was designed for the record single “Summer is Over” by Jon McLaughlin featuring Sara Bareilles. The assignment was part of an Illustrator course, where we were tasked with creating a full-size promotional poster that demonstrated our understanding of vector-based design, illustration tools, and type control in Adobe Illustrator.
I aimed to reflect the melancholy yet romantic tone of the song through color, composition, and visual metaphor. The design balances clean vector elements with lyrical emotion—capturing that bittersweet transition between seasons and relationships.
This project allowed me to explore expressive layout while strengthening my technical skills in Illustrator, including custom shapes, gradient layering, and typographic arrangement.
