Chirpy – Portable Breakfast Kit Packaging Design
School Project | Package Design Course, Fall 2016
Chirpy is a make-believe product concept I developed for my Package Design course in Fall 2016. The challenge: create a brand-new product that doesn’t exist (yet), and design its full identity and packaging system based on research and personal insight.
I conceptualized Chirpy, a portable breakfast kit designed for people with early, busy mornings—students, parents, commuters—who still want a healthy, convenient start to their day. The kit features BPA-free reusable tubes in a compact carrying case for on-the-go nutrition, ideal for bus, train, or car travel.
The idea came from my own experience: juggling school, multiple jobs, and family responsibilities, I often didn’t have time to eat in the morning. While my children had breakfast at school, I was always rushing out the door. Chirpy. became my way of turning that chaos into a thoughtful, human-centered product solution.
The brand identity, color palette, and voice were all developed to feel friendly, fresh, and energizing—just like a calm morning with a bird's chirp.
This project taught me how to apply personal storytelling to packaging, while balancing aesthetics with product function, environmental consideration, and brand clarity.
